My Approach
Philosophy
Food is medicine.
I believe, as I have experienced myself through Nutritional Therapy, that real health can be achieved through a holistic and individualized approach to nutrition and lifestyle. Many of our health issues are rooted in poor nutrition which weakens our body’s physiological foundations. The American food system has evolved to be more about convenience which has led to many of the things we eat being packed full of chemicals, additives, and seed oils which are proven to contribute to increased inflammation, poor gut health, heart disease, diabetes, and more. I am dedicated to helping individuals reverse the negative effects of the modern diet using a proven, foundational, holistic approach that focuses on the importance of a properly prepared, nutrient dense, whole food diet paired with a well-balanced lifestyle.
I use a wide range of tools and techniques to identify and correct nutritional imbalances and deficiencies. Based on my findings I create a customized, bio-individual program that is centered around harnessing the body’s innate intelligence and its incredible capacity to restore, regenerate, and correct itself – when given the tools and nutrients to do so.

FAQs
Answers to Your Questions
What is Functional Nutrition?
Functional Nutrition is a holistic approach to diet and lifestyle. We focus on nutrient dense foods that help nourish our body at a cellular level. We also factor in your overall lifestyle to create a personalized plan based on your unique needs to establish long term habits that can improve your wellness for years to come.
How is it different?
Other nutrition programs often view nutrition and health as a one size fits all plan. Functional nutrition looks at each individual as a unique being and we tailor your plan to the specific needs of your body in this moment of your life.
What do I bring to my appointment?
All appointments are virtual using the Practice Better platform. Before the appointment you will be asked to complete paperwork and a HTMA test so we can pinpoint the root cause of your challenges.
What is HTMA?
HTMA stands for Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. By taking a small amount of hair at the root, we are able to get a snapshot of the last 3 months of mineral stores being deposited into the small tissues of the hair. This tells us so much about your metabolism, mineral balance, and any possible heavy metal toxicity. We are able to learn more about your gut health, thyroid health, andrenal health, blood sugar balance, how your body handles stress, and more.
Do you offer any one time consultation sessions?
The only single session I offer is a Single HTMA/Paperwork Review. This 90 minute call allows me to review your comprehensive health history forms, a 300 symptom questionairre, a 5 day food and mood journal, and HTMA results. I will provide targeted dietary changes and any supplement recommondations. You will have access to me for any questions and support for 2 weeks, messaging in practice better.
What type of supplements do you use and can I get them at a local pharmacy?
I use pharmacutical grade supplements that are tested and veriftied for quality ingredients. While you may be able to get some of these at a local pharmacy, many do not carry them and I do offer a 15% discount on all supplements purchased through my online dispensary.
